Dress Code

We try to maintain standards of excellence at the Home School Book Fair. Therefore we ask volunteers, booth workers and other people associated with the Book Fair to dress in business attire during Book Fair hours from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm on Friday and Saturday. During Set-Up and Take-Down hours we ask them to dress neatly and modestly. Below are some guidelines. We reserve the right to turn away workers or volunteers who are inappropriately dressed.

Thursday through Saturday
  • No skin-tight clothing
  • No short shorts
  • No low-cut or tank tops
  • No body-pierce jewelry (except women's earrings)
  • No excessive tattoos
  • No bare shoulders or midriffs
  • No exposed undergarments
  • No T-shirts with inappropriate art or slogans
Thursday Set-Up and Saturday Take-Down
  • Work clothes may be worn
  • Long shorts are acceptable
Friday and Saturday Fair Days
  • No work clothes
  • Business attire only
  • Tailored jeans acceptable*

We will allow jeans that are neat and tailored to be worn on Fair Days. We will NOT allow jeans that are torn, slit, frayed, baggy and low-slung, stonewashed or worn out.
